hola mi gente!!  such a busy first week of the transfer but it was so good! some of the highlights were going to my fav family ever the tovars for thanksgiving, getting my bestie sista wood as a roommate, setting a date for gloria's baptism, lots of uplifting meetings, helping hermana pecjak (in the branch) decorate her Christmas tree, and going to the temple with jorge!!!  this week I got a message that one of my very favorite people sister bowden passed away. this lady helped me through some of the hardest times at the beginning of my mission & I couldn't be more grateful to have known her. although it broke my heart to recieve that text, I instantly said a prayer and all I could feel was PEACE. how lucky are we to have the knowledge of the plan of salvation and know that families are forever!?!? that itself brings so much peace!! please keep the bowden family in your prayers this week BIG LOVE FOR YOU ALL ♡ hermana speirs  11/28/22

heyooo all my fav people!!  happy early thanksgiving!! the past week I've just been thinking about the past year on my mission and how grateful I am to be here! missions are HARD but I wouldn't trade the things I've learned or the relationships I've made with people for the world. we have transfers & I'm staying here AGAIN with hermana o'conner soo crazy but I'm ready for what's ahead these last 4 months! please pray for my friends mynor, franklin, gloria, karina, and elda who's baptisms are all coming up!!!  we had an amazing meeting this week with Sister Rodarte and one of her friends and they talked about the importance of gratitude! I heard the coolest story I just wanted to share... It's about this man who was given a life sentence in prison but he shares what he learned... , "I've come to believe that the antidote to suffering, the path out of it, is acceptance and gratitude. hey all!!  not a ton happened this week but we set mynor on baptismal date wahoooo for christmas day!! I'm literally so excited for him and I know he's so ready just has to get married real fast hahah. BUT we had an amazing lesson with him & angela and i know this step will make the biggest difference in their lives!! also little highlight if you remember chalo and elda that I taught in desert bloom eldas getting baptized in a week!!!!!  Just wanted to share a cute quote i got from one of my besties this week "if you want real peace in your heart and mind, learn to process and appreciate life as it is, rather than how you thought, expected, or hoped it would be." (hank smith) something i've learned a lot lately are most days are just days but we can still find PEACE and JOY when we learn to appreciate the NOW. heyoooo  soooo just to sum up how "AWESOME" this week has been here's a story for ya... I got super sick and a sweet lady in the branch brought us some interesting soup and and all i wanted was my moms chicken noodle soup lol so we went to the store and bought some and I go to sit down to eat it and my comp accidently knocks a box over on the table and the soup splashed allllll over me, my hair, my clothes, my face!!! hahaha bless her soul. even though all I wanted this week was for my mom to take care of me I know I'm not alone and Jesus Christ is the one person who understands how we feel ALL the time trust in him and his atonement!!  other then that we still had some highlights! zone conf, día de los muertos fiesta with the branch & lessons with some of our favs!! president & sister rodarte taught us a lot about the power of conversion this week!!
