hola hola hola  this week we had zone conference and I had to give my departing testimony, said bye to some of my fav missionaries, & laughed & cried a lot. Satan is working really hard with our friend matías and his baptismal date so please pray he'll be able to get baptized this next week!!! some highlights were scoty left the hospital this week wahooo, taught english classes which is my fav thing ever, went to Boulder city, had some lessons with some cool new people. it wasn't the easiest week but the scripture that really helped me was in romans 8:38&39 which says,  "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  So grateful for the simple knowledge we have that god's love is always there!!  2 more weeks people!!! hope to see you ...

hola mi gente!! a couple of highlights from the week were teaching english class and wearing some coollll ponchos, eating menudo (srry but worst food ever), teaching the cutest families, and preparing our friend matías to get baptized next week!! I've been studying the ricciardi letter this week and it says something i loved... "to see people change their lives, to love people from another place, is a testament of the existence of God & his son Jesus christ." This week someone asked me the best thing about my mission and I just thought of this quote! There is nothing better then seeing people completely change their lives and find happiness through the gospel of jesus christ! keep all my people in your prayers this week- matías, edgar, jasmine, SCOTY who gets to leave the hospital tomorrow!  LOS QUIERO Y LOS EXTRAÑO ♡ hermana speirs  1/23/23

holaaa my fav people!  super crazy week with some big life decisions but the biggest thing I learned was a little message my mama sent me, "Remember when you are making righteous decisions there are no wrong answers" Sometimes in life God doesn't give us direct answers but he gives our agency to choose and when we are choosing between 2 good things the path will ALWAYS be uphill!  I'm feeling so grateful i get to spend the last 4 weeks of my mission here in alta vista!! I have fallen in love with the people here and this amazing area. hola mi gente!!  it was a crazy first week of the transfer ! I got a new comp sister ashton and she just started her mission!! she's awesome and so ready to work. we saw lots of miracles this week & the lords hand in it all. just wanted to share a quote I heard in one of my studies this week... "we come to know the Savior as we do our best to go where he wants us to go, strive to say what he wants us to say, and become what he wants us to become." coming to know the saviors means we also need to try to become like him!! thanks for all the prayers, nice messages, & fasts for my little sis scoty! keep her in your prayers this week that she can get movement back in her left leg. also pray for our friends Matías and Abel who are preparing for baptism at the end of this month!!  love you all tengan una buena semana ♡ hermana speirs  1/9/23

hey everyone!! the year 2023 is a year I honestly never thought would come! the year I go home!! But I am SO grateful for the year of 2022 on my mission and for everything it taught me! More then anything I've learned who Jesus Christ really is and how special & personal his atonement is for each one of us.  thanks for all the sweet messages & prayers for my little sister scoty. for those who haven't heard she was in a terrible ATV accident this week and she'll be in the hospital for the next little bit. BUT we're seeing miracles and improvement every single day, I know the Lord is here and giving her the strength she needs!! this week hasn't been the easiest but the scripture i've been leaning on is D&C 84:88, one that I recieved from Sister Rodarte (mission president's wife), "I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your heart, and mine angels round about you, TO BEAR YOU UP."  there was sooo many litt...
