holaaaa  this seriously was a week full of miracles... we had so many people put in our paths that are ready to have the gospel in their lives!! my favorite scripture I heard this week was D&C 84:119: "For I, the Lord, have put forth my hand to exert the powers of heaven; ye cannot see it now, yet a little while and ye shall see it, and know that I am, and that I will come and reign with my people." This taught me how God is always in the details and how sometimes in life, things don't always go the way we want and the timing that we want them to, but we need to remember that God's plan is much BIGGER then the plan we have for ourselves!  carlos and jesus are now on date preparing for baptism in July!! they're legendary and have such strong testimonies already! we met a guy named Adolfo this week and talked to him a little bit and then a couple days later we had a lesson with him and he's now preparing for baptism in June, he was a miracle and definitely g...

hey everybody!!!!! this week my focus was just on trying to find happiness in the little things. I love Thomas S. Monsons quote "you don't find the happy life, you make it" this is something I've really come to learn on my mission. not everyday is fun and exciting, but it's all about finding those little things you have or that happen each day that bring happiness!! God is always in the details. we have a couple awesome people were teaching right now! this guy Jesus has been taught for a while now and he's preparing for baptism, we're just helping him overcome some things!! and then Carlos is this 16 yr old kid who comes to church with his mom every Sunday and the rest of their family is catholic but he's now meeting with us and wants to be baptized. there's a couple more but everybody please pray for all the people here in Vegas they need it!!  te quiero muchoooo!!  ♡ hermana speirs  5/23/22

helloooo all my favorite people!! well the subject kinda sums up my week. I was the talk of the mission this week because i was the one biking and waving at the elders who then got hit by a car... super embarrassing. but all is good my bike is just kinda wrecked:( I think I was in shock but we literally couldn't stop laughing!! anywaysss i don't think we'll be riding bikes again anytime soon OOPS.  I wanted to share a quick story about an awesome lady in our ward Luliz... so luliz came here from mexico all by herself a couple years ago, left her family and everything, and started meeting with the missionaries. she got baptized about a year ago and met this guy Jose in our Ensign Ward. they've been dating for a while and now we're preparing them to get sealed in the temple!!! temples was a big focus this week and it made me so grateful for eternal families♡  this week I learned "as we draw nearer to God he will draw nearer to us" its really simple but if we...

HEY EVERYONE!!  happy late mothers day to my mama and to all the people who have been just like a mom to me over the years, love you all mucho!!! not a ton to update on but we just had transfers and my new comp is hna oconner!! we're having so much fun and just trying to figure out spanish together] I saw a quote this past week I loved that i think applies to all aspects of our lives, it says "before you pray- believe, before you speak- listen, before you spend- earn, before you write- think, before you quit- try, and before you die- LIVE."  we've had one of those weeks that literally everything that could go wrong... went wrong. this cute old lady santa was supposed to get baptized this week and she told us she wants nothing to do with the church or missionaries anymore and that was HARD. but I know the Lords timing is everything in missionary work so everybody please pray for the people here and pray for MILAGROS♡ (miracles) I LOVE YOU ALL AND MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!
