VIVA LAS VEGAS
whats up people!!
first week in the field and I have felt ALL the feels. I'm in a trio and my comps are hermana bastedo and hermana fletcher. the area is right by the las vegas temple. it's pretty cuz we can see all the city lights but it also has some sketchy parts. I'm in more of an english speaking area right now which is kinda hard because it feels like I'll NEVER learn spanish but it made my first week a little easier teaching in english so it's all good.
we had sooo many lessons this week it was kinda overwhelming. im seeing a whole side of vegas I've never seen before... definitely some crazy people here! we have so many people who are interested but just won't commit to reading or praying. so pray for miracles guys!!!
couple funny stories-
one morning we decided to go on a run and we set our phones right outside our apt (which was our dumb fault.. forget I'm not in Utah anymore hahah) and our crazy neigbor was walking around picking up trash like he does every morning. we saw that our phones were gone so we ran after him and asked if he saw them. he was just like idk what you're talking about so we were like okay and just decided to say a prayer. my comp had a feeling to check the dumpster... and fair enough our phones were in the trash. this guy threw them away!!! so strange but that day we had prayers answered and lesson learned!
a couple days later we went and knocked on this guy's door... this guy opened the door and was like hey how's it goin and then all of a sudden just falls over. we stood there in dead silent for like 10 seconds didnt know what to do, and then finally hna bastedo goes umm are you ok? he was fine but idk something was a little off here hahaha.
scripture of the week- 1 Nephi 3:7♡ the first day I got here we went street contacting and we were going up to every single person on the street bearing our testimonies. I honestly felt super awkward and kinda like what the heck did I just get myself into?! but after having a couple hard days I read this scripture and it made such a difference. I know the Lord wants me to be here right now and he will prepare a way for me to accomplish this. I testify that he always prepares a way for us to do his work and accomplish what he needs us to.
