Ohhh Down In Mexico

Hola,

 

 

that's the only word I know in spanish. but im here at the mexico mtc and I hear people speaking spanish all day everyday. they say the gift of tongues is real..  maybe someday. 

 

 

I really love everything about the Mexican culture. the food, the people, and hopefully I'll learn to love the language. 

 

 

my companion is Hermana Wilson, she is seriously the sweetest girl ever and fluent in spanish so it's way helpful to me.

 

 

I've had so many cool experiences since I started the MTC a month ago but I'll just share a few...

 

 

when I started the mtc my teacher Hermano Mendez asked us about our worries and fears about going on a mission. I told him I was really nervous about leaving my family. He told me when you go on your mission, there will be 1 angel who stays with you, and 1 angel who stays home with your family. That phrase has comforted me so much the past month and last week when I said bye to my family, as hard as it was, I did not feel alone and I know angels were surrounding me that day. 

 

 

funny story: the other night while my companion was saying her prayers the dogs outside would not stop barking, I told her to pray that the dogs would stop... and believe it or not, they actually stopped??!? God really answers our prayers hahaha! 

 

 

scripture of the week- 2 Nephi 22:2♡ I know if we put our trust in God he will always be with us. I know this gospel can bring true happiness to our lives!
